Physics is the study of matter, energy, and how they interact. This means physics is about asking big questions and trying to answer them by observing and experimenting. Our physics department has experienced faculty who are very active in outreach programs and helping students.

We have a spacious, well-equipped laboratory that has all the instruments needed for the high school curriculum. The lab has comfortable work tables so students can do experiments without strain.

Some of the main topics we cover are:

  • Electrostatic potential and capacitance

  • Electric current

  • Magnetic effects of current and magnetism

  • Magnetism in materials

  • Optics
